Fun in G-Town

We headed down to Galveston to spend the weekend with Tripp and his parents. What a great time! The kids had a great time playing and the adults enjoyed an aweseom meal (courtesy of Mr. JC) after the kids were asleep. None of the kids got pinched by any crabs, sunburns were kept to a minimum, and the kids wore themselves out on the beach.

Easter Fun

We had a really lovely Easter. Tuddie smocked dresses for both of the girls. She even made Freddie's dress. They were both really beautiful. Emily especially loved twirling around in her dress. We did a little egg hunt in the backyard, had a wonderful lunch with friends and enjoyed a lazy afternoon on the porch. It was great to celebrate the holiday AND be back in our home.

Coloring Eggs

We made 10 hard boiled eggs to dye for Easter. They didn't all make it through the process but we enjoyed coloring them.

Willow Easter Egg Hunt

We had our annual Easter egg hunt in the neighborhood the day before Easter. The kids hunted for around 1000 eggs. Emily was talking about it all week. She loved the idea of going hunting for eggs. She did pretty well. Her basket was full. Freddie woke up with swollen eyes from allergies. She didn't seem to really care much for the egg hunting, but enjoyed being at the park. We have a great neighborhood with great moms!

Spring Azaleas

Every spring the azaleas in Houston are beautiful. This year was no different. We took the girls out for a little photo shoot over at Rice. The flowers only bloom for a little while so we were glad we made it in time.

Flex Fridays Rock

One of the best things about having every Friday off is that we really don't have a schedule. We go the park if we feel like it. We eat lunch whenever and wherever the mood strikes. If we want a mid afternoon drive thru stop at McD's, we do that too....

Rodeo Roundup

The girls enjoyed the stockshow again this year. It can be challenging to really get through all of the animal portion of the show with all of the school field trips, but we manage. The show was even more fun this time because Emily was able to ride on more of the rides outside the arena. She thought the rollercoaster was the best. Freddie was content to watch her sister get on all the rides, but we did manage to all get up on the ferris wheel. Of course it had to stop at the very top. That did not make this mom feel very comfortable. The girls thought it was a blast.
