Laughing Baby

Will thinks numbers are pretty hilarious.  He's pretty funny himself.

Talking Practice

We like to practice our letter sounds with Freddie.  She hasn't quite mastered the 'F' sound in words.  Makes for some fun videos.  She also isn't that great with staying focused.  She'll make a great student some day.

Kindergarten is here!

We had a great morning for the first day of school. Emily had a warm breakfast to get her ready to learn a bunch. We also took a LOT of pictures to document the very important day (thanks to the interent, family & friends for all of those ideas!).  She was such a trooper through it all.  We arrived to school early, but remained in happy spirits.  That's until Mommy got a little teary eyed.  Everyone held it together.  What a big day!

First Food

Will had his first taste of real food a while ago.  He wasn't as big of a fan as his sisters, but he's getting better.  Of course he really loves the fruits and sweet stuff, but we were surprised he isn't a big fan of the oatmeal.  Hopefully he isn't a picky eater.  We'll have to wait and see.

Swim Meet

Emily had her first swim meet at the Willow Pool. We weren't positive if she would get a ribbon, but fortunately they gave one to everyone who swam. She did the relay, freestyle and backstroke. Seeing how she was was one of the youngest on her team, she did really well. We were super proud. The best part is she had fun and tried her hardest.

Swinging

The girls have really enjoyed the swing in the backyard.  We had it up before our remodel and then became lazy in putting it back up.  We're glad we did because they ask to go play outside all the time.  It's 50/50 as to whether they are in a sharing mood, but we'll take it!

Chillin'

Steven took some photos of the kids hanging out in the playroom.  They don't always enjoy posing for photos, but we like taking them!  Thought I'd share some.

The Last Days

We decided to spend a few days in San Antonio before my maternity ended.  We went to Sea World for one day and then to the zoo on another day.  The grandparents joined us for the zoo.  They have made some really great improvements to the zoo in San Antonio. We were all impressed.  We had a great visit with family and the city.

Little Graduate

Emily finished up her preschool days in May.  She found the last few days to be a lot of fun.  There was a party, a picnic, games, crafts and special 1:1 time with teachers.  Mommy tended to be a little more sad.  We can't believe we have a little kindergartener in the family now.  It is all going by so fast.  We have loved her day school since she started there.  We're glad we still have two more to attend.

Leopard Ladies

Nama bought the girls some new swimsuits.  A 5 year old and 2 year old in leopard swimsuits looks pretty adorable.

The Graduate

Emily had her last music program at her day school.  She's officially ready for kindergarten.  We're not sure we are ready, but Emily is okay with it.  It is crazy our little girl is going to go to real school soon.

Since we were not going to be in Houston for Easter weekend, we made sure to take part in some festivities happening here the week before the holiday weekend.  There was a kid friendly zoo even that was a lot of fun.  We got to see the elephants playing.  There was a cool painting craft.  We then headed over to church for the Palmer kid Easter egg hunt.  There was some coloring and storytelling first.  The egg hunting was a lot of fun and gave the girls their first test run.  They realized they needed to be a little quicker if they wanted the good stuff.  We all had fun.

I wanna hold him!

We haven't had a problem yet with attention sharing and Will.  We do have problems in giving enough opportunities to hold Will.  It's a daily occurrence.  Who gets to go first?  For how long? It is really sweet.  It's sure to not be the last tug of war involving little brother.  The next times will probably involve toys.

Strawberry Picking

We always love to go strawberry picking each spring.  The girls had a blast.  We ended up with 4 or 5 buckets full.  The weather was perfect.  It is a great annual tradition.

Due Date

If Will had still been in my tummy a week later, I might have had to wear maternity clothes the rest of my life. He made himself nice and cozy.

The Big 5

Emily had a wonderful cupcake filled birthday party. Sadly, I wasn't able to make it because we were still in the hospital with Will, but I heard it turned out great. The weather was a little windy. That made cupcake decorating a little more challenging, but I think the kids were up to the task. Emily loved having her friends come out to celebrate her big day. Special thanks to grandparents who took charge of the party and basically helped us throw the whole thing.
