Summer Nights

We are still enjoying our backyard. Once the sun goes down, the temperatures become "pleasant". That means it isn't 100 degrees. The girls enjoy sitting out on the back porch reading, playing follow the leader and making each other laugh. We love our summer evenings.

Butterflies

Poseys and LaLa gave Emily a butterfly kit for her birthday. We were excited to receive our 5 caterpillars in the mail. Then we waited patiently as they changed from chrysalides to beautiful butterflies. For a few days, Emily carefully gave the butterflies sugar water on their flowers. Emily didn't want to release all of the butterflies on the same day because she was sad to see them go. Instead we did a staggered release. What a great gift. Thanks again P&L!

Hanging with the girls

One of the fun parts about having girls is watching them play together. They can be as girlie as they need to be. It is even more fun when you throw GHC in the group. Three different personalities all fun to watch. Of course, the girls never mind including Elmo in the craziness.

Back Porch Chowing

We are enjoying our new back porch. We look forward to many meals at the picnic table.

Another Pool Year

We were out of town for most of May, but managed to make it to the Willow Pool for our annual family picture. It feels like forever ago when we were members without kids. Now we are a family of four taking advantage of any time we can at the pool. It is so much fun to watch the girls play in the water. We love our neighborhood pool.

Fun in G-Town

We headed down to Galveston to spend the weekend with Tripp and his parents. What a great time! The kids had a great time playing and the adults enjoyed an aweseom meal (courtesy of Mr. JC) after the kids were asleep. None of the kids got pinched by any crabs, sunburns were kept to a minimum, and the kids wore themselves out on the beach.
