Look Alike

Mommy

Daddy

Emily

Freddie

Freddie
Emily has always looked like her Daddy. I knew it the first time I saw her. Everyone who comes up to us says she looks like her Daddy. This time we think Freddie looks more like her Mommy (in some opinion). It was hard to find a good picture to capture the resemblance, but you can sort of tell when you are around her. Of course, that makes her super cute;)
I am also certain that Freddie looks like Emily did when she was a baby. Everyone disagrees with me. Of course, it is hard to tell now that she is a blonde. Yet Emily had dark hair at the beginning too. Just not a lot of it!

Turkey Time

We had a great Thanksgiving. Nama and Josh came to visit. The Altobellis and Abbe also joined us for a delicious meal. Of course, we had to make time for some Wii playing. Emily gets really intense. Freddie would rather just nap off the food coma.

Thumbsucking

Freddie loves to suck her thumb. She tries to find it whenever she can. I try to stop it, but it looks so cute when she is doing it.

Matching PJ's

This is probably not going to be the first time Freddie and Emily will dress alike. Matching PJ's are just too much fun!

Freddie in Crib

Freddie is now officially out of our room. It was a sad thing to see as a parent, but we know she and Emily will love sharing a room. Emily was excited to have her sister in her room. However, she didn't realize Freddie was in her crib the next morning. Emily was just more concerned that her door was open. Then she heard Freddie rumbling. It was really cute to see (on the video monitor) her shock and excitement! They are going to have a lot of hugs and fights in that room. That is for sure.

2 months

Freddie had her two month doc visit today. She handled it like a champ. Her stats looked good. Of course, she's blowing our previous chunky monkey out of the water. Her weight was at 12lbs10oz. Height was at 23.25 inches. She's developing very well. Our doc hadn't ever seen Freddie's capillary hemangioma on her lower back before today (we have had other docs see her because of schedules). Based on it's location, our doc wants to get an ultrasound to make sure it is hanging out only where it needs to be. That should be fun with an infant. We'll keep you posted on our "little" Freddie. Seems kids always find ways to worry us.

Oh yeah, I also said I would bank on Freddie teething already (lots of drool, Big D, etc). The doc kind of laughed at me as I expected. Then she felt Freddie's grill and said it was pretty firm. Momma wasn't completely crazy. We'll see when they come in...or don't.

Sunday Sisters

Freddie is really starting to smile. Her favorite person to smile at is her big sister. They are super cute!

Homecoming 2009

Grant and Zane came to town to celebrate their moms' 10 year college reunion. Grant was nice enough to share his baseball toy with Emily. Freddie chose to sleep the entire day away. We were all happy for a Rice win.

Freddie's Baptism

We had a wonderful day on Sunday. Freddie was baptized. The service was really pretty. Freddie slept like a champ through all of it. We had so many lovely friends and family to share the day with us. We are one lucky family. Unfortunately, I didn't snap enough photos of all of Freddie's fans. Thank you so much to all of you for coming to share this special day with us.

Halloween Week

We had a busy Halloween week. We had a friend house party on Tuesday. The moms' group parade was on Wednesday. There was a parade and show of songs on Thursday at school. Then Halloween trick or treating on Saturday. We got a lot of use out of that ladybug costume! Unfortunately, the only good pics we captured were at the parade and a quick one at our first trick or treat stop (P&L's). Emily's teacher sent us one of their class too. Freddie enjoyed not having to wear a costume. She chose to embrace the wonderful weather instead.
