Freddie's 1st Birthday

Freddie enjoyed a great first birthday. We went to the Children's Museum while Emily was in school. She got to enjoy the infant/toddler area all on her own. She ate up a storm at Chik Fila for lunch. Then we all went to Lupe's for dinner. Emily liked "helping" Freddie open up all of her presents. The best part was dessert. Freddie ate too many rice and beans for dinner, but managed to eat a bit of chocolate and vanilla petit four. Happy Birthday to Freddie!

Grass Under our Feet

Abuelo loves to tell us that we don't let grass grown under our feet. We are always on the go. That's just how we have been since we got married. Fortunately, our kids have also done a great job of going with us along our whirlwind of a life. We love to do things as a family, just kids or as adults only. We have such great family and friends that are willing to take care of our girls when we ask. That is probably why we really never tend to worry how are kids are doing while we are away from them. Chances are that they are having a lot more fun with their caretakers than they would have with us for those few hours (or days:). This past weekend was no exception. Tia, Josh, Frank and Nama all teamed together to watch the girls. We received texts with pics of what the girls were up to while we were in Austin. And here they are (complete with some of Tia's commentary)....

At Josh's soccer game - "Already made friends"

At Kiddie Park - "Somebody's pissed off"
Because there was water in the bottom of her boat

"Rockin the hair clip"

"Do you like?"
My sister LOVES to do their hair

"Good night, Mommy and Daddy!"

"Chuey is a mighty fine babysitter"

"What should we do? Emily's head is stuck."

First Day of Puppy Class

Emily started back to school last week. She loves it! Even Anna mentioned how excited Emily is to get going. Last year Emily was a Duckling. This year she is in the Puppy class. She was not very happy to hear that she would not be in her 2's teacher's class, but has quickly warmed up to her 3's teacher. We are very excited that Emily loves school.

Big Helper

Emily loves it when we get to hang out with GHC. She wants to tickle her feet, feed her a bottle or wake her up. She doesn't realize she will be taking care of GHC and Freddie one day while they cause mayhem all over the place.
