Kiddie Park

We went to San Antonio/Schertz last weekend. The girls were ready for their first ever trip down to Kiddie Park. Emily is the absolute perfect age for the park. Kiddie Park is the oldest kid's park in the U.S. We went there all the time growing up. It is a great memory of childhood. They have since given the place a new coat of paint, but have not changed the decor or rides. Emily was in heaven. Freddie even enjoyed a few of the rides. Of course, one of Emily's favorite rides was the boat. She must take after her mom and Tia. After 2 hours, she finally said she was ready to go. Luckily for us, she had enough energy to go for a ride on the train by the zoo before we headed home. A big thanks to Tia and Josh for making our trip so much fun!

Bedtime Stories

Freddie is almost to the point where she will sit still to read a story. That is making bedtime so much more fun. We can have both girls with us and read them a story. It is a great and perfect way to end the day.

Pickin' Time Again

We took a trip back out to go blueberry picking last week. We were sad P did not get to go with us, but she may have been glad to have missed out on the heat. It was HOT! We managed to pick around 5 pounds. Emily did a great job all on her own. Freddie was more content scooping up cheerios. This year was a great crop and super delicious!

Circle of Friends

We always have a good time hanging out with friends. Freddie's BFF, GHC, came to play. GHC is not quite sure how she and Freddie will end up in the same school grade, but we're sure Freddie will look out for her younger (and smaller) friend. Fun times ahead!

Hot Time in the City

It is sooooo hot and muggy out these days. Trips to the park are a rare occurrence. The girls still enjoy a fun time on the swings. Emily is now getting to the point where she also wants to push Freddie. She is a big girl in case you didn't know.

Clapping Machine

Anytime Freddie hears music, she starts clapping. It is really cute. The videos don't quite show her full clapping capabilities because she gets easily distracted. We love how excited she gets to show off her clapping. Now when we pray (and sometimes sing) before dinner, she thinks it is time to clap. We love to watch her smile and clap!

Movie Time

We took Emily to her first movie in a movie theater (TS3). She loved everything about it. We got her the kid's snack pack. The only option we saw for her was orange soda. She didn't like that and made Steven go get her water. The candy was right up her alley though. She did really well and sat still the whole time. It was a lot of fun.
